Alice
is the daughter of Dr. John H. Gibbon Jr., the renowned surgeon who invented
the heart-lung machine and performed the first heart bi-pass surgery.
So it was only gradually that she accepted the possibility of alternative
healing practices, much less spiritual healing, to treat her own illness.
Since modern medicine could not cure her, she reached out to friends
and family for love and support, she reach
within to find strength, and she reached beyond the physical world
to embrace a sense of spiritual peace she had not known before. Alice
found fun, amazement, and healing. Now she shares her experiences with
incredible honesty in "Stepping Out."
